California Pipeline Program The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) started the Pipeline program in 2002 and funded 11 of the 15 participating schools in the Phase I program. The California Endowment heard about the Pipeline project and provided funds for all California dental schools to participate. In the Phase I program, the five California schools were fully integrated operationally into the national Pipeline program. The Phase I Pipeline program ended (June 2007), and The California Endowment has provided funding for another three years. Known as the Phase II program, it only includes the California schools. There is a Phase II RWJF Pipeline program, but it operates separately from the Phase II California program. This section of the Pipeline Website provides an overview of the Phase I program and Phase II program in California, a special section for California college students, a description of Pipeline partner organizations in California, a toolkit of available materials that dental school and community clinics can use to more effectively care for diverse patients, and a list of upcoming events and announcements.
