Storytelling, Sharing & Planning in La Jolla, CA It has been over a month since we came together in sunny La Jolla, CA for the Fifth Annual Pipeline Grantee Meeting. We came from all over the country to share our successes, our struggles, and our plans for the future of the Dental Pipeline Program; we left inspired by our colleagues and rejuvenated in our mission. With the expert guidance of Andy Goodman and Terrance McNally, we tackled the challenges of simplifying the complex Pipeline program into compelling stories. Everyone did an amazing job. It was exciting to see deans and program directors working side by side to craft stories that would touch the hearts of our audience. Terrance commented on how “engaged and enthusiastic” everyone was, and how much he enjoyed the event. It seems that Terrance wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the event. The online survey indicates that 82.8% of attendees felt the meeting was “excellent,” and 93.3% said it will help communicate the Pipeline message. The majority of respondents also enjoyed the breakout sessions. As we move into our fifth year, we hope that everyone will carry the lessons learned during our meeting and continue to trumpet the Pipeline mission to all who will listen. Please keep in mind that the National Program Office is here to help with any challenges. We look forward to a fantastic year with the strong support of the schools, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and The California Endowment. - The National Program Office Team
