Awards & Accolades The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry recently received the North Carolina Health Careers Access Program's (NC-HCAP) 2006 Leadership Award, recognizing the school's efforts to recruit, admit, retain and graduate underrepresented minority students. Dr. Donna Grant-Mills, PI of the Pipeline program at Howard University College of Dentistry is the recipient of the 2006 Minority Faculty Recognition Award presented by the National Dental Association Foundation (NDAF), in collaboration with the Colgate-Palmolive Company. Dr. Grant-Mills and two other awardees were honored at the tenth Annual Faculty Recognition Awards Luncheon at the 93rd Annual National Dental Association Convention, July 21, 2006, in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Bruce Sanders, Assistant Dean of Outreach and Diversity, UCLA School of Dentistry, was the recipient of the Colgate-Palmolive/National Dental Association Foundation Faculty Recognition Award for Service. The award was presented to Dr. Sanders at the NDA Annual Convention in Nashville, TN on July 21.
