U.S. Pipeline Dental Schools

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Board of Trustees authorized the Pipeline, Profession & Practice: Community-Based Dental Education program in April 2001. By 2003, RWJF selected 11 dental schools to receive funding for a period of five years through a competitive application process. The California Endowment joined the grant program in July 2003, funding four California dental schools.

Eight new grantees for Round 2 of the Pipeline program were announced in March 2008. The California Endowment will continue to support all five of their schools through 2010.
